JMA’s Rapidly Developing Cumulus Areas Algorithm

Akira Sobajima (JMA) has provided a report on the Theoretical Basis for the Rapidly Developing Cumulus Areas Derivation Algorithm [pdf] that is used at JMA (also available on the Documentation page under Convective Initiation).
